Adding to this glory, Goa is set to shine on the global stage as it hosts the opening ceremony of the 11th Young Chef Olympiad (YCO) 2025, the grandest edition of the event to date.

Scheduled from 02-09 February, 2025, YCO 2025 will see participants from 60 countries converge in India, with the prestigious opening ceremony hosted at the Indismart Woodbourne Resort in Goa. This milestone event not only celebrates culinary excellence but also positions Goa as a global tourism hub, attracting international attention to its scenic beauty and vibrant culture.

The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM), the organizing body behind YCO, will commemorate its 33 glorious years in hospitality education during this global spectacle. Founded in 1991, IIHM has established itself as a leader in nurturing world-class hospitality talent. With campuses across India and abroad, IIHM has played a pivotal role in upholding India’s culinary and hospitality standards. The institute’s flagship event, YCO, exemplifies its mission to foster global connections and excellence in culinary arts.

Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant highlighted the importance of such global events in boosting the state’s tourism profile. “YCO 2025 will showcase Goa’s potential as a premier destination for international events. We are committed to enhancing infrastructure, promoting sustainability, and delivering a world-class experience for visitors,” Sawant said.
