The influence of Korean culture in India continues to surge, with everything from K-dramas to K-pop captivating young Indians. Adding to this growing wave is the launch of Dalkomi, India’s first authentic Korean dessert brand, introduced by the renowned GOPIZZA group.
Dalkomi made its grand debut on December 16, 2024, at Bengaluru\\\'s Kempegowda International Airport (T1), offering travelers a slice of Korea\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s sweet delicacies. The brand\'s name, meaning \"sweet\" in Korean, perfectly embodies its mission: to introduce traditional Korean desserts to Indian audiences enamored with K-culture.
While Korean barbecue and ramen have already won hearts in India, desserts like Bungeo-ppang (fish-shaped pastries), Kkwabaegi (twisted donuts), and Tanghulu (candied fruits) remained lesser-known treasures. Dalkomi fills this gap with its diverse menu, including modern delights like Punyangi (dancing pudding), Dosirak Cake (bento cakes), and trendy beverages like bubble tea and Korean-style gelato.
Strategically located in the airport, Dalkomi’s vibrant pink interiors and unique Hanbok Photo Zone invite visitors to experience Korean culture fully. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"We are thrilled to bring Dalkomi to India and share the authentic flavors of Korean desserts with travelers,” said Mahesh Reddy, CEO of GOPIZZA India.
With plans to expand to 50 stores by FY 2025, Dalkomi is poised to ride the cultural wave, offering an immersive culinary and cultural experience that cements the growing popularity of Korean food among young Indians.
